Origen y Ceniza (Origen and Ashes) is a Flamenco show devised for the Ustinov Studio by the Madrid-based dancer Magdalena Maria Christina Mannion and her flamenco group. Beginning with one of the darkest and most traditional dances, "Martinete", the show moves through the vast landscape of emotions expressed in Flamenco - grief, oppression, relief, joy and celebration. Accompanied by a group of outstanding musicians from Spain, Origen y Ceniza explores the thrilling journey of each dance.
