Kokuma Dance Theatre Company, one of the country's leading dance companies, present a triple bill of new dance works to celebrate their 20th anniversay. Acclaimed for their unique fusion of traditional African and contemporary Western dance forms, this evening of dance includes a solo by guest artist Ranjabati Sicar, and a duet featruing Patrick Acogny, artistic director of Kukuma. Bidonvilles, the main piece of the evening is a jubilant and celebratory tribute to the courage and resilience of shanty town dwellers of the third world and features the full Kokuma company and traditional African live music.
