Paco Pena is one of the world's foremost flamenco guitarists. He brings a brand new work to the 2014 Festival, inspired by the life and work of Andalucian poet Federico Garcia Lorca. Contrasting the colour and expression of Lorca's poetry and traditional Spanish folk songs with the stark brutality of war, Patrias explores the emotional, physical and cultural impact of the Spanish Civil War on the country.
