Details

"Phaedra" is a solo dance performance inspired by the eponymous protagonist of Euripides' "Hippolytus" Phaedra is a Solo Dance performance. The aim is to deconstruct the classic text of 'Hippolytus' by Euripides while using pre-recorded sound on stage as well as narration of the Ancient Greek text. This fragmented narration is focusing on the female figure and the negative emotions that the main character has been deluged. The dramaturgy and kinesiology is a study of gestures and movements coming straight from Ancient Greek culture and historical statues.
