UK Premiere. This contemporary dance piece is a bold exploration of mans obsession with distraction and satisfying this thirst through various forms of entertainment. Using dramatic lighting, intense music and evocative dance movement, this latest creation from choreographer Philippe Saire, delves into the world of glitter, glamour and illusion, the company of six dancers perform a series of numbers in quick succession, a French cancan, a magic trick, a tap dance, a desperate Tango, each with a unique twist. As this satirical review of conventional forms of light-entertainment progresses, mans obsession with these distractions are questioned and its fragility begins to unravel, thus drawing our attention to the brevity of satisfactions gained.
