Blending high drama with comic insight, Protein Dance are fast making their mark as sly and subversive humourists in contemporary dance. Ages 16+ Only - Contains Nudity High energy physical theatre, comedy and social comment collide in the latest slice of thought-provoking dance theatre from Luca Silvestrini's award-winning Protein Dance. Unswayed by inconvenient definitions about dance, Silvestrini promises to mix the professional and community casts on one stage in a brand new full length work, Dear Body, a scathing, witty satire on our growing fixation with body image and body care. Dear Body will employ bodies of literally all shapes and sizes. There will be a professional cast of six dancers and ten amateur performers drawn from the local community. Protein will audition local performers and rehearse them into the show over an intensive two day workshop prior to each performance. Protein Dance - Dear Body website.
