Mick Taylor is acknowledged as the finest non-Indian exponent of the 'gayaki-ang' or vocal style of sitar playing, noted for sweetness of tone and depth of feeling and authenticity. Alpana Sengupta's breathtakingly energetic performance of the mesmerising Raigargh form of Kathak dance have earned her an enthusiastic international following. Shikha Ganguly represents the Kirana Gharana or style of Indian vocal music, and tours with tabla drummer Soumitra Paul, a regular performer of All India Radio and Television.
