Rambert Dance Company - Featuring Seven for a Secret Never to be Told archiveBritain's biggest and most exciting touring dance company who often tour two programmes at a time. Dancing to a mixture of musical styles they provide enormously watchable evenings. Artistic Director Mark Baldwin has attracted some of the very best international choreographers, composers and designers to Rambert since taking the helm in 2002. Following the successes of Constant Speed, Eternal Light and The Comedy of Change, Baldwin presents his brand new work, Seven for a secret, never to be told; a magical and playful piece set to beautiful music based on Ravel’s opera L'enfant et les sortileges, adapted by Stephen McNeff with designs by Michael Howells. An inventive and groundbreaking choreographer, Javier De Frutos returns to create a world premiere inspired by the life and work of Tennessee Williams. Set to music from A Streetcar Named Desire, this new work is De Frutos at his very best. Concluding the bill is Merce Cunningham’s spellbinding RainForest, a work praised for its "childlike gentleness" (New York Times) performed to David Tudor’s evocative score. All three works will be played live by the Rambert Orchestra. Rambert Dance Company - Featuring Seven for a Secret Never to be Told website.
