Infinity/L'eveil/Stand and Stare/Gran Partita

Infinity explores the dramatic and often brutal passage towards life's inevitable end, through an avalanche of striking and relentles physical limagery. L'eveil is an abstract piece for six women, loosely inspired by aspects of femininity and influenced by the power of the female voice through song. Featuring live singer Melanie Marshall, it is perfomed to Kurt Weill's Je ne t'aime pas and Leslie Bricusse's Feeling Good, with costumes inspired by world-renowned fashion designer [Roland Mouret}. Stand and Stare by Darshan Singh Bhuller, is a gritty and powerful piece that uses the white negative space and the vertical and horizontal lines of artist LS Lowry's work in both the choreography and set design. It is performed to Bartok's dramatically haunting Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion. Gran Partita is set to four movements from Mozart's exceptional piece of the same name. Capturing the verve and beauty of the music in movement, this emotional and dramatic piece complements Mozart's heart-melting sound. The celebrated designer Jean Marc Puissant's fresh scenery and costumes create a dreamy poetic world.
