Welcome in the Chinese Year of the Dog with this extravaganza of traditional Chinese dance. Ten dancers tell time-honoured Chinese folk stories through movement and beautiful choreography depicting Taiwanese farmers, carefree fish and the traditional symbol of good fortune, the lion. The dancers will work with customary fans and ribbons, as well as the odd dragon or two! The evening will culminate in the festival favourite "Tiao-ku" which is performed with flags, umbrellas, a drum and four gongs. The rapid tempo and lively movements makes "Tiao-ku" one of the most popular and vigorous dances in Taiwan.
