A Sudden Exit is set to Brahms' beautiful late piano music (Opus 118 and 119) played live by Stringfactory. A truly moving work, it explores the pain of abrupt departure.
Roughcut - from 1990, dates from Alston's period as director of Rambert Dance Company. Set to Steve Reich's shimmering New York and Electric Counterpoint for clarinet and electric guitar.
