Stampede Richard Alston's latest creation for his 12-strong company, responds to the exotic strains of Italian music from the Middle Ages.
Slow Airs Almost All has at its heart duets, folding and unfolding to the sweet untrammelled singing of Mozart adagios for string trio.
Touch and Go is driven by the insistent and irresistible pull of the Argentinian tango. Astor Piazzolla's music provokes a mood of restless excitement and represses desire, Alston responds with fast-paced steps and intricate partnering.
