A world-class exponent of flamenco, Roc?o Molina has established a reputation for her remarkable dancing, rare in its beauty, formidable technique and expressive freedom. Dedicated to the progression of her art form, she develops work with a 21st-century outlook, embracing the possibilities of sound and music in unexpected ways. In her latest work Fallen from Heaven (Ca?da del Cielo), Molina takes us on a very personal journey through womanhood. With designs ranging from a virginal confection, to matador jackets, to some inventive uses of leather, the piece is at times intensely raw and at others extremely witty. Molina's Olivier nominated Bosque Ardora was one of the hits of DU2014 and we are delighted to welcome her back. A study in concentration and technique, Molina's flamenco is physically exhausting and she is not afraid to show it.
