UK Premiere. One of Portugal's most senior choreographers, Rui Horta was founding director of S.O.A.P. Dance Theatre for which he created six acclaimed works, many of which were performed at The Place. Now Horta makes his festival debut with Talk Show, exploring the dynamics of relationships over time and the body as a communication tool. The movement of the two couples is at once intimate and tender, then fast, frenetic and discordant. A gripping exchange ensues between the animated choreography, urgent commentary and live filming which is both captivating and revealing.
