There is something for all ages happening across the entire building, with fun activities designed to complement the shows on the Sadler's Wells and Lilian Baylis Studio stages. Aracaladanza have been favourites at Sadler's Wells since their Family Weekend debut in 2008. A critically acclaimed and award winning company, Aracaladanza has been sharing its fascinating universe with young audiences for nearly two decades. Through costume design, music, rhythm and movement they engage the spectator in a fantastic, dream-like world of possibilities. Constelaciones is a new piece, inspired by the work of Barcelona born painter Joan Mir?. A national icon in Spain and one of the 20th century's most celebrated artists, Miro is known for his surrealist and experimental approach to his art. Constelaciones is a cocktail made of colours, shapes and games, inviting the audience to explore the colourful universe Mir? composed with his paintings. Running time: 50mins (no interval). Wilkie Branson & Sally Cookson - Varmints - T1711289166Varmints is a rich visual piece of original dance theatre for young people and their families, that tells the poignant tale of one small creature's struggle to preserve a world in danger of being lost forever. Every day the city grows larger and the noise grows louder, until there is so much noise that no-one can hear themselves think. Following a successful 2013 tour, Varmints returns with a specially added interactive post-show discussion in which the audience can meet the cast and discover more about the show. This exhilarating dance-theatre show is choreographed by B-boy and Sadler's Wells New Wave Associate Wilkie Branson, in collaboration with children's theatre director Sally Cookson. Co-produced and commissioned by East London Dance, Sadler's Wells and Stratford Circus, Varmints is based on the award winning book by Helen Ward with beautiful illustrations by Marc Craste.
