Three incredibly tall figures stand motionless, cloaked in black. They turn toward the audience, opening their cloaks to reveal a bright yellow light that seems to glow from inside their ribs. A cloak lifts to reveal an exquisite glass box, inside which a dancer, bathed in violent light, struggles to defy the confines of the space. The pure voices of the three figures ring out in sweeping harmonies. Triptych is a dance-based performance, with a strong and refreshing visual and aural impact. Created and performed by the popular and innovative Nottingham dance and movement company, Salamanda Tandem.
