Familiar as the towering side-burned eccentric of
lets op Bach, Sam Louwyck is the latest emigre of Alain Platel and Ballet C. de la B. to burst upon the European scene as a choreographer in his own right - and with that background it comes as no surprise to discover this is a spectacularly theatrical confluence of elements.
October 13th draws its inspiration from building that are in the process of being demolished - the environment in which the private is cruelly revealed to all. Six dancers and a musicians bring you to face-to-face with the cross-the-street characters of the inner-city and the tragi-comedy of communication breakdown.
