Performed at Edinburgh Fringe 2015, Camera Obscura is emotionally-charged dance theatre that moves sensitively through the layers of loss experienced in dementia. Reflecting on the extraordinary ability of music to restore memories and identity, and the lasting power of love to provide comfort in this most vulnerable of conditions. Preceded by interactive dance installation Memory Box, combining dance, projection, text and live music. The installation is for 20 people and will be repeated every 10 minutes. The audience will be invited to reflect on personal memory, and on how memory depends on perspective.
