A new site-specific performance event created by Seven Sisters Group for the unique woodland setting of Newlands Corner, a local beauty spot and viewpoint. The work has been commissioned by the Department of Dance, University of Surrey with funding from Arts Council England. The performance takes place when darkness falls. Audience numbers are strictly limited. Early booking is advised. Drawing an adult audience into the woodland dusk and away from the comfort and familiarity of the theatre, seven sisters group tap into the darker veins that run deep within our ideas of primeval longing and angst. Mysterious, sensual and haunting, The Forest blends dance, sound and visual imagery in a journey that walks the borderline between reality and fiction.
