Company of the leading choreographer Shobana Jeyasingh. Transtep - exploring urban life in Britain today through a unique hybrid dance language. Flicker features a new live music commission with iconic British composer Michael Nyman. This piece sees the creative reunion of two of the most recognised and innovative artists in their fields continuing to explore their shared interest in numbers and random patterning. Jeyasingh and Nyman first collaborated in 1988 on the company's first production Configurations with their sparky relationship captured in a Channel 4 documentary. The dance work will also be accompanied by specially commissioned cutting-edge digital visuals. Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company (UK) - Transtep/Flicker website.
