Sioned started performing solo in new York in 1989-91, Dear Body is her latest solo work choreographed as a dialogue between the body itself in relation to objects, place, light and the viewer. The body is alive, a construction of bone, a whole emotional structure, leaning against, sitting on, to stand in the world in relation to other things. The muscles respond to thought, thoughts pass quickly and every thought is supported by a feeling. The skin is the outer layer covering the surface of the body, the limit. Left with yourself, looking at, to move and be moved.
