The Dance Studies department present a glorious and exciting evening of dance. Works by professional choreographers are seen alongside pieces of the students' own devising. Dance in a contemporary style is contrasted with Afro-Caribbean and Flamenco. The evening concludes with Deep Frieze a new work. Inspired by Gustav Klimt's Beethoven Frieze and set to the choral movement from Beethoven's 9th symphony, the work is danced by a heavenly multitude of third year students. Deep Frieze explores images of woman as lusty or angelic, motherly or mad.
