The Birdcatcher

The Birdcatcher tells the story of a man who catches birds for a living, which he takes each week to sell at the market. The birds are bought by a fat gentleman to cook and eat and vain women to pluck for their beautiful feathers. Then one day the Birdcatcher discovers what he has never heard before, the beauty of their song and it changes his life. An extraordinary collaboration between choreographer [Claire Pençak], visual artist Keiko Mukaide and composer Mike Zolker, puppeteer/musician Shane Connolly, composer/musician Mike Zolker and dancer Shamita Ray.
