From virtuoso displays of traditional tango dance to the exquisite sounds of 1930s Buenos Aires and the powerful Nuevo Tango music of Astor Piazzolla, Tangomotion is a breathtaking journey into the heart of Tango Argentino. It features four of the UK's leading tango dancers; Giraldo Escobar, Vicky Sierra, David Benitez and Kim Schwarz, with live music from Tango Siempre, the UK's leading tango ensemble with Jonathan Taylor (piano), Ros Stephen (violin), Ian Watson (accordion), Richard Price (double bass) and the outstanding Argentinian singer Guillermo Rozenthuler. Their music is passionate, intense, soulful and unique. The Tangomotion dancers have previously appeared in the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, Tango Por Dos, the Channel 4 film Dance, Sally Potter's Covent Garden production of Carmen and Madonna's film Evita.
