Taxila, a ruined city outside Karachi, is one of the oldest cities in the world and home to three civilsations each buried by earthquakes. Siddiqui will draw on the richness of history and the effect it has had in forming modern cultures; Christ preached here and Alexander the Great and Buddha both lived there.
