Set against a backdrop of passages from Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Lake' and distant echoes of Hawaiian music, 'The Hypochondriac Bird' encapsulates Javier's thoughts and fears about, life and death; the present, the past and the future. For this and both of his previous works Javier performs naked. His nakedness is not meant to shock audiences but to show uniqueness, identity and mood.
