Chip Van Plays Dixie

Details

Jonathan Goddard & Gemma Nixon's Third is a duet of fractured tenderness and mysterious camaraderie. In collaboration with lighting designer Michael Hulls, featuring an original score by Miguel Marin and costumes by Alice Walkling, harsh Arctic beauty and the instinct to survive combine to create a journey with no horizon. Seke Chimitungwende's quintet concerns a choreographer who discovers a time machine in a theatre and travels into the future. After attending three different dance performances he returns to the present to try to recreate them. Robbie Synge's duet is inspired by his move from London to the Scottish Highlands and considers our relationship with the built and natural environments that surround us. Eva Recacha's The Wishing Well is about a place filled with dreams, possibilities, rejection, a thousand strategies just waiting to be heard and the power of hope.
