Details

Mamoru Iriguchi's One Man Show is a solo live performance with several video images of the performer projected on screens that capture different angles. At first replicating the performer, each doppleg?nger gradually develops their own personality. As a result, what started off as a one man show turns out to be a colourful ensemble. Ben Ash's Execute Now uses an unconventional combination of pendulums and modern dust bowl ballads, as three men strike out resolutely in the direction of great hope. Hanna Gillgren & Heidi Rustgaard's Duet is a humorous and provocative investigation into life as a twosome. After 13 years together, the two choreographers take a brutally honest look at themselves, revealing a confused and disillusioned relationship. What will become of the show and will they still be together after The Place Prize? Rick Nodine should by rights have been a fan of hip hop, glam rock, New Wave or post punk in 1987, but it was hippie dinosaurs the Grateful Dead that made him dance.
