With few opportunities on the horizon and growing increasingly embittered in his isolation from his homeland, he exploits his talent for teaching the most passionate dance of them all - the salsa - becoming a serial seducer and betrayer surrounded by women who want to be with him and men who want to be like him. At a dance competition, José is approached by Miranda, a young bride-to-be. Choosing to shake off her unadventurous image by dancing the salsa as the first dance at her wedding, she wants José to teach her. Miranda s virginal innocence is irresistible - but tragically it may prove to be one seduction too far...
