Theo Clinkard is a Brighton-based artist and rising star of the dance world. He has a talent for choreographing beautiful movement and presenting it in an unusual way. Choreographer, performer and designer, Theo Clinkard returns with his celebrated seven strong company in a brand new double bill of startling and eloquent dance. A truly visceral experience where the audience of just 60 are situated right at the heart of the action whilst live music envelopes the space and breathtaking dance rips across the floor at their feet. For his stark and poetic duet Chalk, Theo draws inspiration from the iconic cliffs of his hometown of Plymouth. In Of Land and Tongue an accumulation of untranslatable words from foreign cultures are brought to life with compelling and occasionally hilarious effect. This dance of odd sensations and unnameable experiences is performed by an exceptional cast. An evening of startling and eloquent dance that puts the audience right at the heart of the action.
