The Institute of Fine Arts presents an evening of classical Indian Carnatic vocal music and Bharata Natyam dance. In the first part of the programme Tiruchur V Ramachandran, his wife Charumathy Ramachandran and their daughter Shubhashire, present a South Indian Carnatic vocal recital with accompanying musicians. After the interval, the choreographer M V Narasimhachari of Kalashestra, and the pioneering Bharata Natya dance academy in Chennai, will present the dance drama "Thirukoneshwaram". The dance troupe will enact the history of this ancient temple in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka
