Tony Adigun and Inua Ellams -
Scratch Performance - Inua is a writer and performer who makes lyrical theatre about the world we live in. He draws characters who, after an hour in their company, you feel like you've known for years. He makes you laugh and cry. Tony is a choreographer who has developed a distinctive hip hop/contemporary language, full of passion and ideas. He draws on music and stories as his inspiration, and his shows are full of humour and style. He makes you feel energised and engaged. Tony and Inua are mates, but haven't worked together much. The Place and Battersea Arts Centre have teamed up to give them some time to explore and play together as we think they share a sense of the power of performance to entertain and provoke. We hope you'll come along to see the results. Ian Johnston, Gary Gardiner and Adrian Howells -
Dancer - A performance created by learning disabled artist Ian Johnston, Gary Gardiner and the late Adrian Howells, Dancer is a gentle provocation on what it is to be a ?dancer'. Ian and Gary both love to dance in public. Neither are trained dancers. They are two artists asking questions about visibility, opportunity and experiences; as well as sharing a few of their moves, to songs by some of their favourite artists.
