The evening starts with a performance by the nationally and internationally renowned Union Dance Company - a celebratory programme, particularly suitable for a youth audience, of the company s best works, combining a rich variety of styles - street dance and martial arts, especially Brazilian Capoeira. Union s exciting performances also integrate multi-media imagery and sound and reflect the concept of cultural diversity. In the same programme, Merton youth/school groups will perform dances specially created for them by professional choreographers, they include the Ashbourne Club of North East Mitcham Community Association, Koromanti Arts UK with 'H Patten with young people from Pollards Hill, Aerial Enterprise and Anusha Subramanyam working respectively with Raynes Park High School and The Priory Primary School. A fantastic end to the biggest DANCESCAPE festival yet.
