A controversial contemporary performance which pushes the debate on violence one step further. Celebrating 50 years of Indian independence and the European Year Against Racism and featuring the cheameleon-like dance Mailika Sarabhai, this intercultural performance combines stylised movement, naturalistic story-telling, the dance of the mask of Kali and the swirling sticks of Indian martial arts with rap, video projection and live music. Getting inside the minds of both the perpetrators and the victims, from playground bullies to ethnic cleansing, V for challenges the taboos surrounding violence and dares to ask, could that be me?
