UnderWorld - A powerful, atmospheric ensemble performance, drawing on the myth of Orpheus & Eurydice and VDT's seminal production Broken Chords. UnderWorld is performed in a loop of physically punishing choreography that visually transforms the space over and over again through a series of striking cinematographic images and intimate, moving vignettes, accompanied by a haunting original score from acclaimed composer Gavin Bryars. Audience members are welcome to enter or exit at any time during each session. An opportunity for people across ages (14+) and backgrounds to engage in dialogue, creativity and exchange with VDT's work and with wider issues of gender equality and female creative practice. Facilitated by members of the company, participants are invited to respond to the environment and resource materials through engaging in a series of digital, physical and visual tasks.
Glasshouse - This short absorbing dance theatre film is a hard-hitting duet about how actions speak louder than words. Conceived and performed by Charlotte Vincent and Forced Entertainment's Richard Lowdon, directed by Robert Hardy, Glasshouse will be screened continuously in the Archive & Engagement Space.
