Underworld/Look at Me Now, Mummy/Glasshouse
Underworld is a powerful, atmospheric ensemble work that draws on the myth of Orpheus & Eurydice and explores the art of not looking back. A series of visually striking images and intimate, moving vignettes, Underworld is programmed in 2hr 15min durations where the audience can come and go as they please, watch exhaustion set in and witness physically punishing choreography transform the space over and over again.
Look at me now, Mummy - a comi-tragic one-woman show, made in 2008 with Vincent's longest term Polish collaborator Aurora Lubos, 8 months after she gave birth to her first child. Look At Me Now Mummy is an intimate, funny and moving portrait of a mother's desire to look the part, whilst not really knowing what part it is that she is supposed to be playing. It's about trial and error and theatrical failure, with a baby always crying somewhere in the distance.
Glasshouse - a short dance theatre film conceived and performed in 1998 by Charlotte Vincent and Forced Entertainment's Richard Lowdon, made with filmmaker Robert Hardy. Set in a small 'glass' house, and taking place from dusk until dawn, it is a hard-hitting duet about how actions speak louder than words. This event takes place at Shoreditch Town Hall, 380 Old Street, London EC1V 9LT. Part of 21 Years/21 Works
