Merce Cunningham and Loops

A 21st-century portrait of Merce Cunningham by Paul Kaiser, Shelley Eshkar and Marc Downie. In this installation using movement, projection and sound, intricate finger and hand movements are expressed in 3D space as nodes in a visual network evoking primitive biological or subatomic worlds. Commissioned by the M.I.T. Media lab for the ID/Entity show curated by Christina Yang of the Kitchen in New York City. Theatre
