Mimi La Sardine - a dancer shares with the audience her experience of the performing life. Through episodes of dance the company conjures up images of women alternately humorous, tragic, bawdy and poetic; from Salome dancing for the head of John the Baptist to a parody of Persian gangster dancing. Meanwhile, beneath Mimi's light-hearted tales of her encounters with press, public and musicians we glimpse eternal questions about female eroticism and sterotypes of beauty.
