Details
Wendy is a performer and maker for a generation of artists, bringing a wealth of experience from her own work alongside her collaborations with artists whose work challenges, enriches and extends the boundaries of dance and theatre, such as the late Nigel Charnock, Lloyd Newson (DV8), Rose English and Gary Stevens as well as Tim Etchells, Jonathan Burrows and Matteo Fargion. Join performer, choreographer, theatre maker and innovator Wendy Houstoun and her eclectic array of guests on stage and screen as they develop ideas of transmission and translation in performance. Recognisable and unrecognisable performers will be using fragments of video, live television and film to enter the body, write movement and create voices - sometimes by bypassing the brain! The evening will be a mix of the spontaneous and rehearsed using pieces by writers, dancers and people without job descriptions to deal with the nature of performance itself. Volunteers who would like the chance to participate in the show should phone 0207 921 0852 by Friday 7th June for further details. Inclusion of material or participation is not, however, guaranteed.
