Wild Card is a Sadler's Wells initiative that gives artists the opportunity to present the work of their choice. It aims to bring fresh ideas to the stage by giving young creators a platform to share the work they admire. Originally from Belgium, Cindy Claes (Association of Dance of the African Diaspora Trailblazer 2013-2014) creates social and political work using hip hop, dancehall and krumping. A dancer, actress, playwright and choreographer, her work has been showcased in the UK, and internationally, notably at the San Francisco Hiphop Dancefest. She is currently researching setting up a dance exchange between Jamaica and the UK.
