Wild Card is a Sadler's Wells initiative that gives artists the opportunity to present the work of their choice. It aims to bring fresh ideas to the stage by giving young creators a platform to share the work they admire. The Wild Card series returns to the Lilian Baylis Studio with yet more fresh voices from a new generation of dance-makers curating their own night. This Spring Kwame Asafo-Adjei, founder and artistic director of Spoken Movement tackles the concept of identity within Black culture and how it influences and exists across space and time. Together with special guest artists rooted in hip hop, Spoken Movement's evening will open a dialogue on cultural hierarchy, challenging society's perspectives and how this affects and shapes culture today. In an immersive evening, experience a historical relapse and the emergence of worlds where questions, domestics, laughter and religion collide.
