Le Sacre du Printemps

Le Sacre du Printemps is inspired by a documentary of the Berlin Philharmonic during rehearsal. Fascinated by the functions of the conductor's movements, Le Roy created a piece in which a range of the conductor’s actions are painstakingly recreated on a bare stage, to a recorded soundtrack. The audience, seated in a surround-sound environment, in turn becomes a helpless, instrument-less orchestra.
