Daiwa International Butoh Festival opens with this performance by Yumiko Yoshioka, who was one of the very first Japanese artists to perform in Europe in the 70s. Yoshioka epitomises the original spirit of Butoh while also developing it into new territory. There will be a talk with the artist after the show on 19th May.
