To celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Queen the Theatre Royal, which was established by Royal Patent in 1786, is holding a Free open day. There will be timed tours of the theatre, on the hour entertainment including dance, drama and songs. We will be housing Stall Holders promoting local activities and crafts. Full catering service for lunch time snacks and refreshments for the inner man. The whole day will end with a Grand Fancy Dress Competition to be judged by Queen Victoria, the theme is 'A Royal Person' and there are two age groups, 11 and under 12 and over.
