A special celebration over just 5 nights to mark the 50th anniversary of the SJT through all its incarnations. Each evening will concentrate on a single decade starting, on Tuesday 9 August, with the years 1955 - 65 and ending on Saturday 13 August with 1995 to the present day. They will include excerpts from noteworthy SJT plays of the period, featuring members of the company. The evenings will be hosted by Alan Ayckbourn who, over his own 48 years of involvement, promises to throw in a few random reminiscences and unreliable recollections of his own. Also on hand each night will be special guests to help set Alan s memories straight as well as providing a few of their own. A unique event for everyone whether you re old enough to wallow in nostalgia or young enough to want to know what all the fuss is about.
