T1839821360A Bit Of A Do is an inclusive festival of theatre, dance and cabaret, featuring work by disabled and non-disabled artists. The festival takes place from the 18th to 28th of November. This year there will be two ways to experience the festival: this can be in person at Stanley Arts in Croydon or online wherever you are. All events include British Sign Language interpretation and some events include enhanced access for visually impaired audiences. There are a range of amazing performances and digital experiences including work from Bert & Nasi, Forced Entertainment, Moxie Brawl, GymJam, Ellen Renton, Jack Dean & Company and Aby Watson. T1729545575A Bit of A Do is Drunken Chorus' thrilling, inclusive three-day celebration of unique new theatre, dance and comedy hosted by DISCO DISCO Croydon's theatre company for artists with learning disabilities. The FREE mini-festival features comedy from TANYALEE DAVIS (Live at TheApollo, Abnormally Funny People), a guest performance from Olivier Award Winner and cult cabaret performer URSULA MARTINEZ (La Soiree/La Clique, Duckie, Edinburgh Fringe, Barbican, Hanky Panky? cabaret striptease) and new theatre from the head-turning Unlimited-commissioned artist ABY WATSON among many others. With performances by a whole cast of artists and companies with and without disabilities, Front of House provided by a team of ten with learning disabilities trained exclusively for the festival by Willow Learning for Life and Mencap, British Sign Language interpretation and and communication assistance and a range of craft beers brewed by adults with learning disabilities under the mentorship of social enterprise Ignition Brewery, A Bit of Do may be one of the most inclusive festivals London has ever seen! | |
