Greenwich+Docklands International Festival (GDIF) is London's leading festival of free outdoor performing arts (theatre, dance, and street arts), an annual 9-day celebration of extraordinary outdoor events that transform people's lives, featuring over 150 performances by 30 national and international companies with more than 80,000 people attending the outdoor shows in East and South London. GDIF2014 returns with a packed programme featuring the best of UK and international outdoor arts. Upholding its reputation for delivering spectacular, thought-provoking and free events, this year transports you to unusual settings including a giant head, an island of sand, a larger-than-life house and even a flying ship. With a full programme announcement in late March, the Festival brings together awesome, night-time spectaculars with street theatre, art installations and alfresco dance, all coming together to showcase Royal Greenwich and East London at its most creative and inventive best.
