London stories: a on-1-on-1 Festival
T0
Over 8 million people share our city - a blur of lives we'll never know. We rush past them on the street, queue with them in the supermarket and sit side by side on the tube. In an evening of truly intimate encounters, London Stories: a 1-on-1-on-1 Festival will harness the power of aural storytelling to create a series of opportunities for audiences to become immersed in the passions, struggles and joys of Londoners. As the sun sets on Battersea Arts Centre we will turn out the lights, strip everything back to basics and invite you to explore a warren of candle-lit rooms and discover a host of untold, real life tales. Through a public call out, Battersea Arts Centre has made contact with individuals of all backgrounds, ages and walks of life to tell their own stories of life in London. Each story, from the moving to the bizarre to the comical, will be told by one member of the public to an audience of just two. You will share every experience 1-on-1-on-1 with the storyteller and an audience member you may never have met before.
