A region-wide celebration of new playwriting created by New Writing North, the agency that promotes and develops new writing in all forms across the North. Five playwrights were commissioned to write for five non-professional local theatre groups. Each play will be professionally directed and performed in its home town, then all five will be brought together for a celebratory week of performance in the Gulbenkian.
