The Lions part, well-loved creators of the theatre-based Bankside festivals
October Plenty. Twelfth Night and
May Games, are invited to create a new-old theatre festival for the Globe. Celebrating the new century's first high summer season of hops and Harvest Home and surrounded by ballad singers, bears, mountebands and guizers, a rarely-performed
mask and interlude forms the heart of the evening of ancient and Elizabethan revelries such as Shakespeare himself may have enjoyed.
